The AWANA program is designed to reach boys and girls with the gospel of Christ and train them to serve Him. Each meeting will be designed to last 1 1/2 hours with three thirty minute segments which are Game Time, Handbook Time and Council Time. Game Time is played on a uniquely designed floor just for the AWANA Games and from what we hear all kids love the games. During Handbook Time kids work one on one with leaders to complete assignments and curriculum materials. AWANA emphasizes memorization and understanding of Bible verses. The kids are rewarded with a series of awards and trophies as they reach various levels of progress. During council time children gather together for singing, announcements, award distributions and a practical Bible message. The AWANA program at First Baptist will be for children 3 years old through the 6^th Grade. In future years this may be extended upward if there is a need.
